Around the birth
Around the birth is an initiative of the Youth Health Care department of the Amsterdam Health Centers Foundation (SAG). If you are in possession of a Stadspas or have a minimum benefit, these courses are free.
Comprehensive pregnancy counseling that consists of physical training to work on muscle strength, flexibility and fitness and information with information about motherhood and childbirth. Various courses are available: pregnancy gym, stay in motion, give birth fit, healthy and fit pregnant, pregnancy yoga, teenage mothers and pregnant, giving birth and a child.
Giving birth tips
In the giving birth tips provides informative courses to prepare for childbirth and the time after, for you and your partner. The tips courses are not only physical, but also mental and practical preparation: by objectively putting all the information in a row, you get an overview of what lies ahead and thus a sense of peace and control.
Mom in Balance
We provide outdoor training for pregnant women, postpartum recovery training and total body workouts for women. Our workouts help you get stronger and improve your fitness, but they also give you energy and a positive mindset. Exactly what you need in the first years of motherhood! During the training there is always room for your personal needs and wishes, you can discuss these with your trainer.
Led by qualified teachers, who are also general physiotherapists, classes are given for during pregnancy and for after childbirth in which staying fit and getting fit is the main focus. In addition, information is provided on pregnancy, childbirth, the time after childbirth and baby massage.

Training for Mamas
Training for Mamas was started by Jorn. He works as a coach and personal trainer in a private gym of the company Joolz, known for their strollers. There he got a lot of questions about training during and after pregnancy. Jorn wants to provide mothers (to be) with reliable and useful information about training during and after pregnancy. Because he likes to base his advice on science, he followed an evidence based training from America about pre and post natal training (Fit For Birth – Pre & Post Natal Corrective Exercise Trainer). With the company Training For Mamas he translates this information into practice.

Mirjam Vos Pregnancy and baby courses
Exercise therapy is named after its founder Bess Mensendieck (1867-1957). It is an adequate remedy for complaints resulting from an overly stressful posture or way of moving. As a Mensendieck remedial therapist Carita ensures that complaints are prevented or reduced by teaching healthy habits of posture and movement.
Central to this is the guidance of both parents. Through exercises, stress is reduced, which improves the development of the child and also the birth. For the mother the counseling helps to make contact with her changing body and to listen to it. In this way she will know better what she needs and how to ask for it during pregnancy and childbirth. The partner also plays an important role in this.
Course with elements of hypnobirthing
Do you want to go into labor well prepared? Do you want no fear of birth? Do you want to be able to trust yourself and your partner and look forward to the arrival of your child together? MOM&CO offers you that opportunity!
MOM&CO positive practice gives an all-round pregnancy course with elements of Hypnobirthing. The course was developed by a midwife and is taught by midwives or doulas with a lot of experience and knowledge of everything around pregnancy and birth.

Pregnancy Yoga in the van Ostadestraat

Mindfulness actually belongs to being pregnant, giving birth and parenthood. In life, too, contractions will come and go, just as during childbirth. It’s never done and it’s always something.
