Good preparation during pregnancy will ensure that you feel much more confident about the delivery, postnatal period and subsequent period. For this reason we have developed a number of information evenings during which we will tell you and your partner more about various subjects. Most of these evenings are now also presented in English.
Nutrition during pregnancy
During this evening, natural food expert Sharon Asscher-Looyen will tell you all about which nutrients should be avoided and which ones are important, particularly during pregnancy. She will explain how certain foods could help to relieve certain symptoms and increase your resistance.

Delivery information
This information evening is presented by one of our midwives. It is quite an informative evening during which you will hear all about the delivery and the logistics involved. We will discuss the different stages of the delivery, important dos and don’ts, hospital versus home birth, pain relief options and much more. Even if you are already taking a pregnancy class, we would definitely recommend this evening.

Getting to know your baby
This is a very useful evening that provides you with ‘instructions for use’ for your baby. Neonatal nurse Esther Bartels-Bloemen presents this evening on our behalf and will guide you through the world of babies. You will hear about how to make contact with your baby during the pregnancy. You will also learn to distinguish between the different ways in which your baby can cry, based on the Dunstan Baby Language theory. This workshop is held every month on Monday evening from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
